The Season So Far

Under the guidance of coaches Andrew Randell and Steve Webber, the girls Under 11's football team have had a successful season so far. Up to the end of this year the team has been playing in Pentrehafod, Swansea on Sunday mornings. They normally play three games of ten minutes each way. They also played in a tournament in Mumbles at the end of September, but unfortunately, even though they didn't lose a game, they failed to reach the semi finals as other results went against them.To date in all matches the girls have played so far, they have won 32 drawn 9 and lost just 3, with 81 goals for and 11 against.

In the New Year we are hoping to get home and away matches with the likes of Garden Village and Pontardawe, as going to Pentrehafod every Sunday morning is getting a bit tedious.

Special mention must go to our goalkeeper Amy Evans, who was selected to play for Swansea City in a tournament in Wiltshire on December 17th, unluckily though, she had to pull out at the last minute with a chest infection.

Finally, I would like to wish the players, parents and coaches of the girls section a merry Christmas and a happy new year, and don't forget training starts back on 11th January 2006.
