Half time score: Jtown 2 : 0 Dafen

Dafen M.O.M: Taylor Thorley
This was simply a superb cup tie between two very good footballing sides. End to end stuff with both teams creating chances in the first half. Jtown broke the deadlock after 22 mins and followed that with another after 26 mins to go into the break 2 up.
Dafen came firing straight back into the tie with a superbly crafted move just 2 mins after the restart. Joe was put in the clear down the right to take the ball toward the Jtown goal. He delivered a perfectly weighted low cross to the far post where Taylor was racing in to finish emphatically on 32mins.
Dafen continued to pile on the pressure in search of the equaliser. Nathan almost broke the post with a pile driver of a shot that unbelievably bounced along the line and came out. Jonathon had a half chance, Joe had a good shot well saved by the keeper and Tyler had a good effort go wide. The Dafen fans couldn't believe how their team were still behind. The ball just would not go in for Dafen!!!
The inevitable happened when, with time fast running out, Jtown scored the final blow with a break away goal on 58mins to seal the victory and see them through to the next round of the cup.
A cracker of a game that was played in great spirit by both teams and enjoyed by both sets of supporters.
A mention must go to Dafens M.O.M Taylor Thorley. Not only did he work hard for his team, take on the instructions given and score a lovely goal. He played the game sportingly, did not question decisions given against him and was quick to congratulate Jtown players on their victory after the final whistle. Awsome all round performance 10 out of 10. Well done buddy!!! (CJ)
